If you will be traveling by train from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Bangkok city center or will be going in the opposite direction and will be trying to avoid Bangkok Airport currency exchange, you can get Thai Baht at the last station on the route as there are booths for currency exchange at Phaya Thai Airport Link Station.
Money Changers at Phaya Thai
On the way from Phaya Thai Airport Link Station to Phaya Thai BTS Station in Bangkok city center you can find several booths offering foreign exchange services. Money changers SuperRich and Zimple Exchange are located next to each other on the third floor of Phaya Thai Airport Link Station, the level where Airport Rail Link tickets can be bought. Closer to BTS Station, you can also find a foreign exchange booth of Kasikornthai bank.
SuperRich
SuperRich Phaya Thai is open daily, from 10:00 to 20:00.
Zimple Exchange
Zimple Exchange Phaya Thai is open daily, from 10:00 to 19:30.
Kasikornthai
On the way from Phaya Thai Airport Link Station to Phaya Thai BTS Station you can also find a currency exchange booth of Kasikornthai. This bank branch is open daily, from 11:00 to 18:00.
However, currency exchange rates at Kasikornthai are significantly worse than at SuperRich and Zimple Exchange as at the bank you would be getting 0.4-0.8 THB less for each USD, depending on denomination. Exchange rates for other foreign currencies at Kasikornthai are lower as well.
