Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that it has granted permission for Emirates and Qatar Airways to operate direct flights to Phuket to increase travel options for various groups of passengers, such as business travelers, long-term residents, hospitalization patients and tourists traveling to Phuket.
From 2 November 2020 onwards, there are 2 airlines ready to operate international flights to Phuket. This is that the Thai government calls a Semi-Commercial Flights, as only passengers who meet the conditions set by the government are allowed to board such flights.
The details of Emirates Airlines and Qatar Airways that were launched two scheduled flights a week to Phuket are as follows.
Emirates resume the Dubai-Phuket route from 2 November 2020. This is the first flight allowed to arrive in Phuket after re-opening Thailand's borders for tourists.

Departure: Dubai Airport, United Arab Emirates (DXB) at 11:30
Arrival: Phuket International Airport (HKT) at 20:35
Flight Duration: 6 hours 5 minutes
Frequency: 2 flights / week (Arrives in Phuket every Monday and Saturday)
Qatar Airways resume the Doha-Phuket route from 4 November 2020.
Flight: QR978 Doha - Phuket
Departure: Hamad (DOH) at 02:45
Arrival: Phuket International Airport (HKT) at 13:20
Frequency: 2 flights / week (Arrives in Phuket every Wednesday and Friday)
Flight Duration: 6 hours 35 minutes
Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in discussions with other airlines to launch semi-commercial flights to Phuket International Airport.

Alternative Local Quarantine (ALQ)
All travelers arriving in Phuket will be required to take COVID-19 tests and quarantine at one of Alternative Local Quarantine (ALQ) Hotels for 14 days after arriving in Phuket.
