Thailand visa for Saudi Arabia citizens is not required for short term visit to Thailand. If you're Saudi and hold a passport valid for at least 6 months from the day of your arrival to Thailand, you can visit Thailand on a Free Visa Exemption as long as your planned stay in Thailand doesn't exceed 30 days. For a longer stay Saudi Arabia citizens and Saudi residents need to get a Thailand Visa in advance to meet Thailand visa requirements.

Thailand Visa Exemption for Saudi

Citizens of Saudi Arabia can stay in Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days if arriving at the airport. When entering Thailand through the land border crossings from LaosMyanmarCambodia or Malaysia, Saudi can get a free visa-exempt stay for 30 days too but the number of times you can use visa exemption when crossing by land during the year is limited.

As a citizen of Saudi Arabia you can use Thailand Free Visa-Exempt Stay if you have the following:

  • Saudi citizen passport valid for at least 6 months from the day of your arrival
  • A return or onward travel ticket within 30 days (flights from Saudi Arabia to/from Thailand can be booked here: Cheap Flights from Saudi Arabia to Thailand)
  • Dully filled-in Thailand Arrival Card (currently required only when arriving by land or by sea)
  • A proof of funds - at least 10,000 THB per person and 20,000 THB per family in cash (equivalent in any currency)

Thailand Tourist Visa for Saudi Residents

If you're a Saudi resident and you have a plan to stay in Thailand for more than 30 days, you should get another type of Thailand Visa in advance. As a tourist, you mainly have two Thailand Visa options to choose from - Single-Entry Tourist Visa or Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa.

Thai Single-Entry Tourist Visa for Saudi Residents

Single-Entry Tourist Visa is valid for entering Thailand once within 3 months from the date of application. The period of stay is 60 days maximum (starting from the day you enter Thailand). Thai Single-Entry Tourist Visa can be applied for at any Thai embassy or consulate worldwide so for Saudi residents it's not mandatory to apply for Thai visa in Saudi Arabia. Keep in mind that Thai embassies and consulates close on public Thai holidays and the public holidays of the country they are in, so plan your visit there accordingly.

When applying for Thai Single-Entry Tourist Visa in Saudi Arabia you will need:

  1. Passport valid for at least 6 months from the day of your arrival.
  2. A copy of passport pages showing the photograph, details, date of issue and expiry.
  3. One Copy of ID Card (Saudi) or One Copy of Residence Identity Card (Non-Saudi).
  4. Duly filled-in and signed Thai Visa Application Form.
  5. One passport size photo taken within the last 6 months.
  6. Bank Statement with details of the last 6 months, with remaining balance not less than 5,000 SAR per person or 10,000 SAR per family.
  7. Visa fee - 160 SAR when applying in Saudi Arabia.

Thailand visa for Saudi residents can also be issued by Thai Embassies and Thai Consulates in other countries, such as LaosMalaysiaSingaporeIndonesia etc.

Thailand Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa for Saudi Residents

Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa is valid for entering Thailand within 6 months from the date of application. The period of stay is 60 days maximum per stay. You may enter Thailand again as long as the visa is still valid. Saudi residents can apply for Thailand Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa only at Thai Embassy in Saudi Arabia. Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa for Saudi residents costs 750 SAR.

When applying for Thai Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa you will need:

  1. Passport valid for at least 6 months from the day of your arrival.
  2. copy of passport pages showing the photograph, details, date of issue and expiry.
  3. One Copy of ID Card (Saudi) or One Copy of Residence Identity Card (Non-Saudi).
  4. Duly filled-in and signed Thai Visa Application Form.
  5. One passport size photo taken within the last 6 months.
  6. Bank Statement with details of the last 6 months, with remaining balance not less than 25,000 SAR per person or 50,000 SAR per family.
  7. Visa fee - 750 SAR.

Tips
