Hanoi Airport Bus 86 is an express bus running from Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) to Hanoi City Center. Bus 86 connects both terminals of Hanoi Airport (domestic and international) with Hanoi Old Quarter and Hanoi Railway Station.
Airport bus 86 is the best option of public transportation for tourists traveling from Hanoi Airport to the city center. The bus is able to accommodate 60 passengers, so it’s normally not very crowded and comfortable.

Hanoi Airport Bus Fare 2025
Hanoi Airport bus fare in 2025 is 45,000 VND (~1.85 USD) per person (the latest bus ticket price increase was in 2022).
This bus fare is applicable only to Bus 86. If you are looking for the cheapest way to get from the airport into the city, choose one of the other public buses listed above, as their tickets cost just around 10,000 VND per person (about 4 times cheaper than Bus 86).
Hanoi Airport bus tickets can be purchased on board the bus by cash. You can withdraw Vietnamese dongs from one of the airport’s ATMs or exchange your foreign currency. Currency exchange rates at Hanoi Airport are not very competitive, and you can get a better value for your money in the city, so exchanging large amounts of foreign currency there is not recommended. The first bus 86 from Hanoi Railway Station to Noi Bai Airport departs at 05:15 and the last one at 20:25. Bus frequency is about every 30-45 minutes.
