Hanoi Book Street is the first book street in Hanoi. It was opened in May 2017 to welcome all readers. This is a good place to visit for all book lovers as 16 bookstores can be found there including shops of publishers and famous book companies of Vietnam.
Hanoi Book Street was established with the purpose of not only selling books but also providing a cultural space. This is the place used to introduce new books to readers and also let them explore the variety of books. In addition, here you also have the opportunity to meet and discuss about books with local and international authors.
Each book store on Hanoi Book Street is beautifully decorated. The street is only 200 meters long but it is well designed and built to look extremely spacious with greenery providing a peaceful atmosphere. In the middle of the street, there is a small venue to exchange activities where sometimes even small exhibitions are held.
Along the entire street, there are rows of chairs arranged for readers to sit. Additionally, there is also a café nearby for visitors to rest after searching for good books.
On both sides of the street, electronic lookup tables and e-books are arranged to help readers and visitors to find the book they are looking for without having to go and check for the book in every store.
Location
Hanoi Book Street is located in Hoan Kiem District of Hanoi. One end of the street is connected to Ly Thuong Kiet Street, and the other one is connected to Hai Ba Trung Street.
