The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been cooperating with the Digital Government Development Agency (DGA) to develop the “Thailand Pass” system, the web-based system for Thai and foreign travelers to fill in their information and upload related documents before traveling.

The purpose of the system is to support "Ease of Traveling” policy which will be implemented after the reopening of the country. This system should replace the issuance of Certificate of Entry (COE) and shorten the process of filling information and uploading travelers' documents before visiting Thailand.

Travelers will also be able tp fill in their information of T8 Form Health Questionnaire and TM6 immigration form through Thailand Pass system.

When will it be effective?

Thailand Pass system should be ready to operate and replace the COE system on 1 November 2021.

Procedures for Thailand Pass online registration

1. Travelers must register on Thailand Pass online system at least 7 days before departure. The system will open for registration from 1 Nov 2021.

2. You will need to fill out the information and upload relevant documents into the system.

3. Department of Disease Control will considers vaccination certificates. Once the registration is complete, you will receive a Thailand Pass QR code to be used for entering Thailand, and no longer needs to apply for Certificate of Entry (COE) with the Royal Thai Embassy.

Additional advice from the Embassy

"The Thailand Pass system will open for registration from 1 November 2021 onwards. Therefore, it is recommended that those who travel to Thailand between 1-8 November 2021 should register to obtain a Certificate of Entry (COE) by 31 October 2021. The COE already issued by the Embassy can still be used. Travelers can contact AQ hotels directly to request a refund of their stay after the first night."

"Travelers arriving in Thailand from 1 November 2021 who have already been issued a COE can use the COE to travel to Thailand without having to register under Thailand Pass."

Who still need COE?

The COE will continuously be used for some groups of travelers which need to be approved in advance for preparation:

✔️ Patients who need to stay in Alternative Hospital Quarantine (AHQ)

✔️ Travelers who cross land border

✔️ Travelers who travel as a group or by yachts and cruise ships.
