Several airlines are operating flights from major cities to Phuket International Airport (HKT) since Phuket reopened its doors to international tourists who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 without the mandatory quarantine under Phuket Sandbox scheme.
Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and an attractive tourist destination for travelers around the world. This resort island is finally allowing foreign travelers to visit it when arriving by air, but there are still significant restrictions.
As per Phuket Sandbox conditions, you are eligible to fly to Phuket and get an exemption from quarantine if you have been fully vaccinated. Instead of being quarantined at the AQ hotel, you are allowed to roam the entire island. However, you must stay at SHA Plus Hotels on the island before traveling to other areas of Thailand.

If you wish to travel to Thailand on one of the above-mentioned flights, you need to contact the airlines directly to see if they can accommodate you. There should be more airlines adding flights to Phuket later, so check the airline websites to confirm about Phuket Sandbox flight availability and for the most up to date information.
Important Note: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation in Thailand with a new wave of COVID19 infections, we recommend you to closely monitor the flight schedule of airlines operating flights to Phuket as some flights might get cancelled!
How to Transit from Bangkok to Phuket?
In normal times, most domestic airlines operated multiple flights per day between Phuket and Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Chiang Mai and other main destinations in Thailand.
However, currently all travelers from abroad must travel on direct international flights to Phuket. Transiting via Bangkok might be possible in the future when Thailand gradually reopens more pilot destinations to fully vaccinated international travelers.
Book Flights to Phuket
It is recommended to book flights to Phuket directly with the airlines. The cost of tickets to Phuket depends on the season, the city of departure, the airline and the availability of seats. You should check for flight tickets and book them well in advance as you need to prepare all supporting documents before your departure date.
Thailand Pass
All travelers to Phuket must obtain the Thailand Pass. You should also carefully check all the details about entry requirements and mandatory documents for entering Thailand via Phuket Sandbox.
