Koh Phayam has only two seasons - the wet and the dry. Between November and April Koh Phayam weather is mostly dry with little rain expected for much of this time but rains start earlier and end later here than in other west coast destinations. Shoulder months of November and April can still see plenty of rain.

The amount of rain Koh Phayam and all Ranong province gets is the biggest in all Thailand and the rainy season here can expand up to 8 months in the province. The most serious rainfall here occures from June to September.

In January and February weather in Koh Phayam is perfect as average high temperatures reach 33-34 °C and only about 3.5 days see some rain. Beach fans can enjoy plenty of sunshine – about 7.5 hours per day.

March and December are two other months bringing nice weather to Koh Phayam. Only 6 rainy days are expected in a month with mean 6.5 daily sunshine hours. In December, temperatures in Koh Phayam are quite mild as average high temperature is a bit less than 32 °C. However, March brings higher temperatures up to 35 °C making it the hottest month in Koh Phayam.

Koh Phayam weather in April and November is still good enough for tropical holidays on the island. These are the shoulder months with about 12-14 rainy days and about 6 daily sunshine hours in average. Temperatures in November are milder (average high 31.5 °C) but April is less suitable for people who can’t stand the heat.

From May to October Koh Phayam weather is really wet as it rains almost daily. Depending on the month, 23 to 28 rainy days can be expected. Humidity also peaks. Temperatures normally shouldn’t be higher than 31-32 °C.
