Mui Ne Public Bus 9 is another public bus route that is also operating along the coastline of Mui Ne and reaches Suoi Nuoc. Even if both bus routes let you reach Phan Thiet City, at Ton Duc Thang / Thu Khoa Huan intersection they separate. Which bus route to choose when coming from Mui Ne to Phan Thiet? If you want to go to Co.opmart or the city center, choose Mui Ne public bus No. 1. When going to Lotte Mart or Phan Thiet Railway Station, Mui Ne public bus No. 9 should be your choice.
Mui Ne Public Bus Tickets
Tickets for Mui Ne Public Bus 1 can be bought for cash on board the bus. Bus ticket price depends on the distance and can be the following:
- Up to 10 km: 8,000 VND/passenger
- From 11 - 20 km: 11,000 VND/passenger
- From 21 - 30 km: 16,000 VND/passenger
- From 31 - 40 km: 20,000 VND/passenger
It’s not uncommon that foreigners are charged the top price for the ticket but even if you will have to pay 20,000 VND (less than 1 USD) per person it will still be much cheaper than taking a taxi.
Mui Ne Public Bus 1 Timetable
The bus is operating from 5:30 to 19:00, with a bus leaving every 25-30 minutes.
Pay attention that for the direction from Phan Thiet City to Mui Ne the scheduled bus departures are from Tien Loi, so departures from the center of Phan Thiet City should be about 15-20 minutes later than the departure time from Tien Loi.
For the direction from Mui Ne to Phan Thiet City the bus departures are from Suoi Nuoc. Departures from Mui Ne Town should be about 20-25 minutes later and from Ham Tien Beach area about 30-40 minutes later than the departure from Suoi Nuoc.
If you're on a tight schedule, don't rely too much on the bus timetable as there are reports that sometime the bus is not stopping if it's already too full.
