Introduced in 2023, Phu Quoc Bus is a public bus service currently offered by VinBus company. VinBus is operating electric buses in Phu Quoc with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, noise, and pollution from transport vehicles.

For a long time, the bus service on Phu Quoc Island was offered for free. However, starting from 1 January 2026, fare collection was implemented.

There are currently 17 Phu Quoc bus routes on the island, but most of them are only running between the tourist attractions and hotels of VinGroup in the northwestern part of Phu Quoc. If you are not going to stay at these hotels or visit attractions like Grand World, VinWonders, or Safari, only 3 bus routes might be useful.

Phu Quoc Bus 19 is a useful bus route in Phu Quoc as it starts at InterContinental Phu Quoc Resort in the southern part of the island, goes to Phu Quoc Airport (PQC), Duong Dong Town, and later reaches Grand World Phu Quoc in the northwest of the island. Even if bus departures on this route are quite limited, it is still pretty convenient for travelers who choose to stay at the hotels south of the airport.

Phu Quoc Bus 19 route goes from Grand World to InterContinental Phu Quoc Resort in the southern part of the island, and on the way makes a stop at Phu Quoc Airport. The part of the route between Phu Quoc Airport and Grand World is identical to the route of Phu Quoc Bus 17, so you can take any of these buses when going north. However, Bus 19 becomes handy if you are staying at hotels that are all located south of the airport.

Route distance is 44 km, and the bus normally covers it in 95-105 minutes.

Starting from 8 February 2026, buses only stop at stations where there are people present or passengers disembarking.

The most frequent of Phu Quoc bus routes that pass the island's main airport and let you travel from Phu Quoc Airport  to Duong Dong Town and Grand World Phu Quoc is a Phu Quoc Bus 17.

There's also a Phu Quoc Bus 20 route connecting Duong Dong Town and Grand World with Bai Vong Port, where ferries from the mainland arrive, used by travelers who prefer getting to Phu Quoc by a combination of land transportation (bus or car) and ferry.
