How to Get to Bangkok Immigration Office

Bangkok Immigration Office is located in a large Building B, or formally, the Ratthaprasatphakdi Building, in Chaengwattana neighborhood along with other government offices. As it is relatively far from the city center, learn how to get to Bangkok Immigration Office at Chaengwattana Government Complex.

You can get to Bangkok Immigration Office from the city center by different means of transport.

Ways for getting to Bangkok Immigration Office

1. By Taxi

Taxi is the most convenient way to go to Bangkok Immigration Office. We personally recommend going there by taxi if you are not familiar with the public transportation system in Bangkok. The easiest way is taking the BTS Skytrain to Lak Si Station or Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Station and from there take a taxi to the immigration office. The trip by taxi should cost about 50-100 THB.

If you are staying in the center of Bangkok, such as Sukhumvit Area, the trip by taxi to Bangkok Immigration Office should cost you about 250-300 THB.

Keep in mind that the immigration building is located in a huge government complex. Make sure the taxi is dropping you in front of the Building B, NOT in front of the complex otherwise you will have to take a shuttle bus, motorcycle taxi or walk for about 1.4 km.

If the driver does not know where the specific location is, just use Google Maps to navigate to the "Immigration Bureau" (or Immigration Bangkok). Thai people call it “TOR MOR” (ตม.), which means “Immigration”.
