As you walk into the aquarium, you will see the large variety of sea creatures. The aquarium is divided into multiple zones showing different types of marine habitats.

The starting point at the aquarium is great with the Giant Spider Crab and the Giant Pacific Octopus welcoming you.

In this part of aquarium you will see the colorful coral reefs and fish such as Nemo and Dory. There is a small glass tank tunnel for children to pop their head up into the aquarium and have a photo. Even adults love it!

The tropical forest area is nicely designed with the surroundings of jungle, waterfall, and pools. Here you can get closer to various animals such as the giant freshwater fish, various tropical frogs, snakes and adorable sea otters.

The 8-metre-high tropical tank was particularly interesting and simply beautiful. They have a very good collection of marine life here and the fish all seem very active.

Ocean Tunnel

There is a long acrylic underwater tunnel in the main aquarium of SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World. Here you can see the big sea life including different kinds of sharks, fish and turtles swimming above and around you.

Shark Shipwreck

The aquarium tanks and displays here are fantastic. One of our favorite is the large man-made shipwreck tank where you can see Tawny Nurse Shark and Sand Tiger Shark followed by the schools of fish swimming through the colorful coral and life-sized shipwreck.

Jellies

For us, the jellyfish display was a particular highlight. The way they were illuminated was spectacular making them look like the creatures from another world. So tempting to do some meditation, sleep or just stare at them and enjoy the experience as this zone feels so restful.

Penguin Ice Adventure

Seeing the penguins at SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World was quite unexpected. There was a really big pool with only few of them swimming around and coming right up close to the glass to play with you.

The educational information was well presented on the boards describing the different creatures. There are also a few fun interactive activities throughout the aquarium. Here you can touch the starfish and other sea creatures or play the treasure hunting game.

Our SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World Review

We enjoyed walking around and exploring the aquarium of SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World. We loved the ambience giving a feeling as if we are in the deep blue ocean. The whole area is a pretty dim, so keep a close watch on your kids.

There are a lot of great photo opportunities so bring a good camera with full battery and enough of memory even though photography is a bit difficult and flash is not recommended while taking photos.

The whole visit at the aquarium can take around two hours or even more if you really take your time to admire all the magnificent sea creatures.

SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World

We would highly recommend visiting this aquarium in Bangkok for everyone, especially the families with children. There are lots of learning opportunities and fun interactive activities that will keep them occupied and engaged.

SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World

The only problem we experienced there was quite a large crowd, most probably because we’ve been visiting the place on weekend afternoon. We would suggest going there earlier in the morning or a bit later in the evening and avoid weekends if possible. That will help you to enjoy the place even more.

However, the layout of the aquarium is good and it’s easy to get around it.

We felt that the admission price was totally worth it when booking online and choosing combo ticket with the entrance to Madame Tussauds Bangkok here: Sea Life + Madame Tussauds Combo Ticket.

SEA LIFE and Madame Tussauds Bangkok are located in the same area and only 5 minutes of walking separates them making it easy to visit both attractions on the same day.
