Thailand Visa Free for Taiwanese 2023/2024

Visa on Arrival requirement was temporarily removed for Taiwanese who can enter Thailand without the need to apply for Visa on Arrival from 10 November 2023 to 10 May 2024.

Thailand Visa on Arrival Requirements 

When applying for Thailand Visa on Arrival Taiwanese must provide these documents:

  1. Passport issued by the Republic of China (Taiwan). Passport must be is valid for at least 30 days from the day of your arrival.
  2. A ticket for your journey from Thailand back to Taiwan or any other country. Your ticket must be within 15 days from your arrival. Flights from Taiwan to Thailand can be booked here: Cheap Flights from Taiwan to Thailand.
  3. Address of hotel in Thailand and hotel booking confirmation. If you haven’t booked your accommodation yet, book your hotel on or Agoda
  4. One passport size (4 x 6 cm) photo that can also be made at the airport.
  5. Visa on Arrival application form that needs to be filled in English.
  6. Thailand Visa on Arrival fee for Taiwanese is 2000 THB.
  7. Thailand Arrival Card (currently needed only when arriving by land or by sea).
  8. A proof that you have funds of at least 10,000 THB per person and 20,000 THB per family for your stay in Thailand. Funds can be shown in any currency, showing equivalent amount in Taiwan dollars will work too.

Other types of Thailand Visa for Taiwanese

If you're a citizen of Taiwan and planning to visit Thailand for more than 15 days, Visa on Arrival won't be suitable for you. You should get different type of Thailand Visa in advance that is available for Taiwanese and other nationalities.

In such a case you can get Thailand Single Entry Visa from Thailand Trade and Economic Office (TTEO) in Taipei. The fee of Thailand single entry visa is 1200 TWD. Thailand visa for Taiwanese can also be issued at Thai Embassies and Thai Consulates in other countries, such as MalaysiaSingapore etc.
