  • Adults: 800,000 VND
  • Children (1-1.4 m): 550,000 VND
  • Baby (<1 m): free

Cheaper Fansipan cable car tickets are available online here: Fansipan Legend Tickets.

Round-trip cable car tickets (Saturday & Public Holiday):

  • Children (1-1.4 m): 550,000 VND

Fansipan Funicular one-way ticket:

  • Way down: 120,000 VND per person

Getting a round-trip Fansipan cable car ticket is mandatory unless you are planning to conquer Fansipan peak on foot. However, Muong Hoa monorail and Fansipan funicular tickets are optional, as the monorail is used for getting to the cable car station from the center of Sapa (you can take a taxi or walk there) while the funicular helps to get up to the peak easier.

Combo tickets for the Fansipan cable car + Muong Hoa Monorail or for the Fansipan cable car + Muong Hoa Monorail + Fansipan Funicular (one way to go up) can be purchased to simplify the process.

Combined Fansipan Legend tickets are available online here: Fansipan Legend Tickets

What's included in the Fansipan Cable Car ticket price?

Standard Sun World Fansipan Legend ticket price includes a Fansipan cable car ticket for a round trip between Hoang Lien Station and Fansipan Station.

The Muong Hoa Monorail ticket includes monorail round-trip transfers between the Muong Hoa Monorail and Sapa Station.

The Fansipan Funicular ticket includes one-way transfer between Fansipan Station and Fansipan Peak. You need to buy separate tickets for the way up and the way down.

With combined Fansipan cable car tickets, the order of using tourist vehicles from Sapa Town Center will be as follows:

Travel by Muong Hoa Train from Sapa Station (at Sun Plaza) to Muong Hoa Station within the tourist area. Here, you can roam in Vietnam's largest Rose Valley, worship at Bao An Thien Tu (Trinh Pagoda), and visit the ancient Black Tung Garden and the Northwest Highlands cultural market.

Next, you travel by cable car from Hoang Lien Station to Fansipan Station. Arriving at San May, you will begin your journey to the Spiritual Cultural Complex in the Arrivals area. You have 2 options: climb more than 600 steps to reach Fansipan Peak or use the Fansipan funicular.

The Fansipan funicular departs from Do Quyen Station to Truc May Station. From Truc May Station, there are only a few dozen more steps to reach the legendary Roof of Indochina.

After checking in at the Flagpole Deck and Indochina Roof area, you can choose to walk down to continue sightseeing and worshiping the Spiritual Cultural Complex with the Great Buddha Statue, Buddha Relics, Duong La Han Dynasty, Statue of Avalokitesvara, Kim Son Bao Thang Temple... or choose to buy a ticket for the Fansipan funicular on the way down.

Then you take the cable car back to Hoang Lien Station and the Muong Hoa Train back to Sapa Station, as round-trip transfer is included for both of them.

Fansipan Legend Buffet Price

Cuisine at Sun World Fansipan Legend is quite diverse: from Van Sam restaurant with a buffet of more than 60 Northwest and European-Asian dishes and set menus for each season to Fansipan Countryside Market with traditional dishes and hot fast food. Travelers can also find local produce at the Northwest Highland Cultural Market in the Departure area. Cafe Du Soleil, at the highest altitude in Indochina, is a suitable place to enjoy a warm drink and watch the clouds. Snack stalls are arranged throughout the paths of the tourist area, convenient for visitors.

To get the best value-for-money deal, you can combine the buffet with cable car tickets. The most popular ticket option is a combo ticket for the Fansipan cable car + buffet + Muong Hoa funicular, the price of which is 1,200,000 VND for adults and 900,000 VND for children.

You can buy discounted combo tickets for the cable car and buffet online here: Fansipan Legend Tickets.

Where to buy a Fansipan Cable Car ticket?

You can buy Sun World Fansipan Legend tickets directly at the ticket booth at the monorail station (at Sun Plaza) or cable car station. However, the biggest downside when buying this way is that you have to wait in line quite long, especially on weekends and in the peak season. Various discounts are available when purchasing Fansipan cable car tickets online in advance.

Even if it is normally possible to book Fansipan cable car tickets online on the official website of Sun World, it is not recommended for the following reasons:

  • The Sun World website is very slow, and you might experience technical problems when trying to use it (just like we did in every second step).
  • The English version of the Sun World Fansipan Legend ticket online booking is not fully translated, so you need to choose products and read terms & conditions (that must be accepted) in Vietnamese or translate them by yourself.
  • The Fansipan Legend ticket price on the Sun World website is normally the same as at the counter, so no discount is offered unlike elsewhere.
  • Not all ticket options are available on the Sun World website (e.g., at the time of the latest checking in January 2025, they were only offering child tickets and separate train tickets for booking online).
  • Price is calculated, and payment is charged only in Vietnamese Dong; there is no option for paying in your local currency.
  • The only payment option for foreigners is paying by international bank card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay), and at least our cards didn't work.

By booking your Fansipan cable car ticket online on the website below, you can save money by getting a discount for the Fansipan cable car ticket or by booking a combo ticket for the cable car and monorail, as well as make a payment in your preferred currency and payment type.
