Srinagarindra Train Night Market, also known as Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin, is a massive open-air night market in Bangkok. Srinakarin Train Night Market is quite far from central Bangkok but it's a great place to experience, especially if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and find a new place to explore, eat and enjoy shopping.

Srinagarindra Train Night Market
Srinagarindra Train Night Market is located on Srinakarin (Srinagarindra) Soi 51, just behind Seacon Square Shopping Mall. The main entrance to Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin is between Seacon Square shopping centre and Haha 55 Mall. It’s lined up with a series of open air bars featuring live bands and eateries.

Train Night Market Atmosphere
The most attractive point of Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin is the atmosphere which is unique and different if compared to other markets. The whole place is very lively with a lot of local people coming here to hangout on weekend evenings. There is a nice mix of new and vintage goods being sold but Srinakarin Train Night Market is more than just a shopping venue, it's the chillax place to sit, eat, drink and try something new.

The market doesn't look big from outside but once you start walking around it just looks bigger and bigger.

Things to Buy at Srinagarindra Train Night Market
During our first visit, we were pleasantly surprised by a large number of stalls selling a variety of interesting goods at Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin. However, this market isn't really a good place for tourist souvenir shopping as there are not many tourists seen around.

The main concept of Srinagarindra Train Night Market is classic, retro and vintage style.

At the market you can find a handful of vintage shops, selling art and handicraft, vintage furniture, retro clothing and accessories, toys, and much more.

There is a garage full of very picturesque vintage vehicles such as Volkswagen vans, Chevys and old farmer trucks.

Not all of Srinakarin Train Night Market is about vintage as you can find clothing, shoes, bags, glasses, collections, dolls, mobile accessories, electronics and other modern stuff here.

The vendors are laid-back and no pushy for sales. The prices are also reasonable.

Food at Srinagarindra Train Night Market
There is a large section at the back of Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin occupied by food stalls and few restaurants. Here you can find local food with something weird and amazing on offer.

At the market you can find plenty of seafood such as grilled prawns and salted-grilled fish.

Here you can find an unusual snack - crispy shrimp heads.

Brave ones can order various fried insects to try. Before you try, read Eating Fried Insects in Thailand.

There are many Thai dessert shops and cafes at Srinakarin Train Night Market too, offering good contrast to the spicy meal. Long Cha Café is one of the most popular places to grab a dessert at the market.

Our top picks of the food you can try at Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin can be found here: What to eat at Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin.
When you go further down, there are rows of warehouses offering more vintage stuffs.

There is also a cool bar area where you can hang out after shopping.

Overall, Train Market is definitely huge and has such a great vibe. There is a wide variety of street food, chillax pubs and interesting vintage goods at Srinagarindra Train Night Market. If you love shopping and seeing old things, this place is a must visit in Bangkok. You can expect to spend some good time here for at least a couple of hours.

However, we wouldn't recommend going out of your way to visit this market for touristy finds as you can get souvenirs at easier reachable places such as MBK or Chatuchak Weekend Market. But if you are in the area, Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin is really worth to visit.

Train Night Market Opening Hours

How to get to Srinagarindra Train Night Market
MRT Yellow Line
Take a train on the newly opened MRT Yellow Line to Suan Luang Rama IX Station (YL15) and use Exit 1 that will bring you right in front of the market entrance. The Yellow Line is connected with city's all main rail systems such BTS Skytrain, MRT Blue Line and Airport Rail Link, making traveling to the night market easier from different areas of Bangkok.
Public Bus
Take Bangkok Bus No. 133, 145, 206, 207 or Air-con bus No. 11 and drop off at “Seacon Square” then walk along the road in Soi Srinakarin 51 about 200 meters to the market.
Taxi
The easiest and most convenient way is taking Bangkok taxi directly from wherever you are. It is easier to tell the driver “Seacon Square” as the Srinakarin Train Market is just behind it. From Sukhumvit/Asok area taxi ride costs about 200-250 baht and from Khao San Road it costs about 250-350 Baht, depending on the traffic.
Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin or Jodd Fairs?
Jodd Fairs Night Market is a barely new night market operated by the same owner as the previous Ratchada Train Night Market, which has been shut down due to the epidemic so basically this night market boasts a similar lively and vibrant night scene atmosphere. Jodd Fairs location is easier accessible from Bangkok city center and it opens every night. If the distance to Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin and the need to change trains on the way doesn't seem to be a problem for you and you are visiting Bangkok on weekend, we would recommend you to choose the original Srinagarindra Train Night Market as it's larger and offers more local feel than Jodd Fairs as the number of tourists visiting the market is significantly lower.
