S6 Bus Bangkok Airport

The Bangkok S6 bus was introduced instead of the old Bangkok bus route 555 (Rangsit - Vibhavadi Rangsit - Suvarnabhumi). However, the number of buses running on the S6 route hasn't reached the set minimum requirement, so the old bus route 555 operated by BMTA also remains. As the new buses also display the old route number, make sure that you are boarding the bus S6 (555) and not only 555.

All buses running on the Suvarnabhumi Airport S6 Bus route are electric and air-conditioned. The route is operated by the Thai Smile Bus company, which is using new and comfortable, environmentally friendly buses on all its routes.

Bangkok S6 Bus Price

The fare for the electric air-conditioned Bangkok bus S6 depends on the distance traveled and is the following:

  • 15 THB: not more than 4 km
  • 20 THB: from 4-16 km
  • 25 THB: more than 16 km

An additional fee of 2 THB is charged when taking the expressway.

In case of taking the bus to or from Suvarnabhumi Airport, an additional fee of 10 THB is charged.

Therefore, the Bangkok S6 bus ticket price for a trip from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, Mochit Bus Terminal, or anywhere else in Chatuchak is 37 THB per person.

The ticket can be bought on board. To pay the bus fare, you can also use the HOP Card.

The expected frequency of the S6 bus is every 30 minutes. However, the timetable of Bangkok buses, including bus S6, strongly depends on traffic conditions and other factors. Therefore, the waiting time can be longer than that. To get a better idea about the waiting time, install the TSB GO Plus application and check the expected bus arrival time in real time.
