Pratunam Morning Market
Pratunam Market in the morning is mainly dedicated to selling trendy clothing such as shirts, pants, skirts and fashion dresses manufactured locally or imported from China. There are many shoppers who come to buy wholesale clothes during this time. If you want to get clothes very cheap, normally you need to buy at least 3 pieces of the same design or a different combination of clothes from the same stall to trigger the wholesale price. The prices of clothes at Pratunam Market start from 50-250 baht and you can expect super low prices for reasonable quality goods.
Pratunam Day Market
If you’re unable to come in the early morning, Pratunam Market is still open at the daytime from 7:00 to 15:00. The goods offered at the market during daytime normally are resold goods from the morning market as only few shops of factories that produce their own products remain open during the day. As the goods are resold, expect to pay higher price than in the morning.
Pratunam Night Market
Pratunam Night Market is one of the popular night markets in Bangkok. Pratunam Night Market is more like a retail market selling clothes and a variety of other products to choose from such as shoes, hats, watches, jewelry, scarves, underwear, cosmetics, false eyelashes, fashion bags and many others. If you are looking for gifts and souvenirs, go to Pratunam Market at night.
Pratunam Lower Market - Soi Narok (Hell Alley or Soi Phetchaburi 21)
If you do not know where to start shopping at Pratunam, it is recommended to start at Soi Petchaburi 21 also called Soi Narok that actually means Hell Alley. This alley is opposite to Platinum Shopping Center. This area is known as Hell Alley because it is the pace where the wholesale clothing stalls are placed on the walkway with tons of bags making the place look like a clutter. Another reason for the name is having a big crowd of shoppers here that makes it a good source of pickpockets. In Hell Alley, there are many clothing styles to choose from, as well as bags and shoes.
At the beginning of Soi Petchaburi 21 there are two shopping centers: Krung Thong Plaza on the left and City Complex on the right. Krung Thong Plaza shopping center is where you can easily find many shops selling big size clothes. There are many small shops on the side of the road selling t-shirts, polo shirts, and jeans. Sales at both, wholesale prices and retail prices can be found here.
Another shopping center is Maruey Plaza. If walking into this area, you will see the blue roof and tiled floor. This is another zone with beautiful fashion clothes suitable for both teenagers and working people and mostly sold at wholesale price.
At the end of the alley, there is a walkway leading to the front of Baiyoke Gallery building and Indra Square Mall where you can find clothes for special events offered by many different brands.
There is the white tent zone in front of Baiyoke 2 Building that sells general miscellaneous items from sleepwear and fancy dresses to souvenirs and gadgets.
It's always better to go to Pratunam Market with many friends as it is the market where goods are sold at wholesale price when you buy many pieces.
Bargaining is allowed but must purchase more to bargain.
Pratunam Market is a large market but it is very crowded, so beware of the pickpockets and take a good care of your belongings!
