The original Chao Phraya Express Yellow Flag Boat service, which is aimed at speeding up boat trips during rush hour, is offered at 15 piers along the Chao Phraya River, making traveling on it significantly faster than the Orange Boat with a double number of stops. The route ends at the Central Pier, which is also called Sathorn Pier and is the main hub of Bangkok river boats, where you can conveniently transfer to the BTS SkyTrain at BTS Saphan Taksin station to reach different areas in Bangkok by train.

Starting from 18 March 2026, the Bangkok Yellow Flag Boat has changed the Orange Flag Boat not only between 09:10 and 15:20 on weekdays but also all day on weekends and public holidays.

During these off-peak hours, the Yellow Flag Boat route is extended and is similar to the Orange Flag Boat route with 24 stops on the route that are as follows (south to north):

The Chao Phraya Express Yellow Flag Boat ticket price after the latest decrease from 1 May 2026 is 23 THB for a single trip.
Yellow Flag Boat tickets can be bought at the ticket desk found at the pier. Normally separate desks are set up for different boat services.
