SHA Plus Booking Authentication System, also called SHABA, is a system used to confirm bookings for people entering Thailand under government conditions without quarantine. Tourists who have received the full-dose vaccine from low and medium risk countries can enter Thailand if they have a "SHA Plus" certified hotel confirmation, which is a document issued by the SHABA system.

From 1 July onwards travelers who have received the full dose of COVID-19 vaccination are allowed to enter Thailand without quarantine under "Sandbox" plan. Tourists are able to travel around the island of Phuket after testing for COVID-19 and getting a negative test result on arrival. You are required to stay at least 7 nights (applicable for arrivals from 1 October 2021) in Phuket before continuing your trip to other Thai destinations.
For safety reasons, all travelers from overseas are required to stay at "SHA Plus" certified accommodations that comply with COVID-19 prevention policies and regulations. Travelers must present a SHA+ hotel booking confirmation issued by the SHABA system (SHA Plus Booking Authentication system)
SHA Plus (SHA+) certified Hotels
"SHA Plus” Certificate was introduced by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to control the Thai tourism industry for safety standards to match the new normal way and show tourists that hotels and other services are taking measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It also means that the certified business meets the certification criteria and at least 70% of hotel or business staffs have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
List of SHA Plus Hotels
1. Phuket Sandbox
Phuket Sandbox Plan is a new model that allows travelers who are fully vaccinated to enter Thailand without quarantine. The program is starting on 1 July 2021, before Thai borders will be fully reopened.
2. Samui Plus Sandbox
Samui Plus Plan, similar to “Phuket Sandbox” plan, Koh Samui, together with Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao in Surat Thani province is open for travelers who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. The program started on 15 July 2021.
3. Krabi Sandbox
Following the success of Phuket Sandbox program, Krabi province is also reopened under Krabi Sandbox also called by locals "Krabi Even More Amazing" (previously called Phuket Sandbox 7+7 Extension) and ready to welcome tourists. Krabi Sandbox is allowing vaccinated travelers to travel there after landing in Phuket Airport and stay in the area for at least 7 nights.
4. Phang Nga Sandbox
Starting from 16 Aug 2021, the Phang Nga Sandbox or Amazing Khao Lak-Koh Yao Sandbox programme (previously called Phuket Sandbox 7+7 Extension) allows fully vaccinated visitors to stay in Phang Nga province in Southern Thailand just north of Phuket for 7 nights
Booking SHA Plus Hotels
The most convenient way to book SHA Plus hotels is by using a reliable online travel agent such as Booking.com or Agoda.com. When making a booking of SHA Plus hotel, the hotel will need to register you on SHA Plus Booking Authenticator (SHABA) system and to generate a booking with an individual QR code. This QR code will be needed to register COE for entering Thailand.
